The Crucible

Taking place during the Salem witch hunt of 1692, the play draws parallels with the McCarthy witch hunts which occurred during the playwright’s lifetime in 1950’s America.

Religion, family, ritual, youth and passion come together in this timeless story. The play’s themes of evil, persecution, perception, group hysteria and social judgement are still very much alive and relevant in Britain today and across the world.

Performed at the Lantern Theatre Liverpool on the 21st and 22nd March 2014.
